EISENHOWER HOCKEY - PRIOR SEASONS INFORMATION
2008-09 Season
2008-09 Post-Season
Eisenhower's first draw for the 2008-09 MHSAA hockey playoffs was Rochester United on March 2nd at McMorran Arena. Rochester United just completed a very strong season that saw them capture the OAA I regular season division title. Rochester United took a 2 goal lead into the third period until Justin Whitson cut the lead to 1 on a power play goal early in the third period. Both teams had several opportunities throughout the third period, with shots on net being just about even. Eisenhower tried to pull their goalie with under a minute to play, but Rochester United hung on for a 2 to 1 victory. Rochester United advanced on to become the Division 1 - Regional 4 champion.

2006 Division 1 - Region 4 Champions
2006 Division 1 - Quarter Finalists - Compuware Arena
Eisenhower enjoyed it's most successful playoff run in it's hockey team's history. With Eisenhower switching home rinks from the Rochester Onyx to the new Suburban Ice Macomb Arena, Eisenhower was selected as a host for the 2005-06 Region 4 District state high school hockey playoffs. Eisenhower was a little bit of a "rude" host for the visiting teams as they beat Port Huron Northern, Lake Orion, and Bay City Central to become Region 4 Champions and advance to the state quarterfinal game against East Kentwood in East Lansing.
East Kentwood, a perennial hockey powerhouse, was ranked 5th in the state and was runner-up in the 2005 State Championship play-offs. Both teams were just feeling each other out as they skated through a scoreless first period. East Kentwood drew "first blood" and scored the only goal of the second period. Third period action really opened up with Eisenhower tying the game early in the 3rd, only to lose the lead again less than a minute later. Eisenhower tied it again, less than a minute later and took their first lead a couple of minutes after that. With 3 minutes left in the game, East Kentwood tied the score and the game went to overtime tied at 3-3. One minute and 8 seconds into overtime, Eisenhower scored the winning goal, which earned them a trip to the Division 1 Final Four at Compuware Arena.
Down to the final 4 teams in Division 1 state play-offs, Eisenhower was matched against Dearborn Unified. Eisenhower had an early 10-4 shot advantage in the first period, but this game was ruled by defense and goaltending. The game remained scoreless until less than 3 minutes left in the 3rd period, when Dearborn Unified broke through with a goal. Dearborn added an empty net goal with 6 seconds left, to advance to the Championship game (in which Brighton defeated Dearborn Unified).

2004-05 Season
2004-05 Post-Season
Eisenhower's first playoff game was scheduled on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 against Chippewa Valley. The game was hard-fought, with momentum switching back and forth several times between both teams. Although both teams had many quality chances throughout the game, the score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. The game ended when Chippewa Valley was able to score on a rebounded shot with about 2 minutes left in the overtime period. Due to tournaments, regular season, and post-season, Eisenhower and Chippewa Valley played each other 4 times this season. All 4 games were extremely close and should build toward a pretty good rivalry in the years to come.
